Itinerary

Day 1Arrival in Delhi

Upon your arrival in Delhi, you will be warmly greeted by our dedicated staff, who will assist with your transfer to your hotel. As you make your way through the bustling streets of the capital, you’ll catch glimpses of Delhi’s vibrant energy—a city where modernity and history coexist harmoniously. Once at your hotel, the rest of the day is yours to unwind after your journey. You might explore the luxurious amenities of your hotel, take a leisurely stroll around the nearby areas, or simply relax in your room, soaking in the anticipation of the exciting days ahead. In the evening, you will be introduced to your tour marshal and motorbikes, which will guide you through the tour.

Day 2Delhi to Dibrugarh by flight and transfer to Jorhat

After breakfast, transfer to the airport and fly to Dibrugarh. Upon arrival at Dibrugarh airport, our team will meet and assist you with your transfer to Jorhat. The drive takes approximately 3.5 hours, passing through scenic tea gardens and the lush green countryside of Assam. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and get settled. Your motorbikes will be ready for inspection, and you will have the opportunity to test-ride them. Enjoy a relaxed evening as you prepare for the exciting adventure ahead.

Day 3Jorhat – Majuli Island

After breakfast, embark on a short drive to Neematighat, from where we take a ferry ride across the mighty Brahmaputra River to Majuli Island, the largest river island in the world and the cultural epicenter of Assam. Upon arrival, check into your lodge and get ready to explore. Our first stop is Auniati Satra, a revered Vaishnavite monastery where you will witness the monastic lifestyle of the ‘Bhakats’ (monks) and explore a small but insightful museum. Later, visit Samaguri Satra, renowned for its traditional mask-making artistry. Before the day ends, stop at Uttar Kamalabari Satra for an enthralling monastic dance performance and take a walk through a Mising tribal village to experience their traditional way of life.

Day 4Majuli Island – Ziro

Begin the day with an early morning nature walk along a stream near the lodge, offering a refreshing experience amidst serene surroundings, fishing nets, and water birds. After breakfast, ride towards Ziro in Arunachal Pradesh, starting with the flat plains of Majuli before ascending into the foothills of the Himalayas. Ziro, located at an altitude of 5,000 ft, is home to the Apatani tribe, known for their unique customs and rich traditions. Enjoy the scenic beauty of this plateau encircled by rolling hills before settling into your accommodation.

Day 5Ziro Exploration

Today is dedicated to exploring Ziro and its surrounding villages. Visit Hong, Hari, and Bamin villages to observe the distinctive lifestyle, customs, and tattooed Apatani elders. Later, head to the Siddheswar Nath Shiva Linga, a massive natural rock formation. In the afternoon, visit the local craft center and museum to learn about traditional weaving and other handicrafts before exploring the bustling local market.

Day 6Ziro to Siyum

After breakfast, begin a long but rewarding ride eastward along the state highway. The journey takes you through the town of Daporijo and then turns northward into remote regions. Ride past Sippi village, home to the Tagin tribe, and visit the Manga cave temple en route. Continue along the Subansiri River, which carves a dramatic valley between lush forests and towering mountains. Upon reaching Siyum, settle into a government lodge or a tented campsite for the night.

Day 7Siyum and Its Surroundings

Today, we set out to explore the hidden treasures of Siyum and its breathtaking surroundings. Ride through the remote mountainous terrain, where very few travelers have ventured before. The landscape is a mix of dense forests, winding roads, and small settlements of indigenous tribes. Stop at serene viewpoints offering panoramic vistas of the Subansiri River carving its way through the valley. Meet the local Tagin tribes and learn about their ancient customs. Return to Siyum for the night and enjoy a peaceful evening under a sky full of stars.

Day 8Siyum to Aalo

After an early breakfast, descend from Siyum, following the winding roads that offer spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. Upon reaching the highway, turn eastward towards Aalo, a charming town nestled in the hills. Upon arrival, visit the Donyi Polo Temple, a significant religious site for the local tribes who follow the indigenous faith of worshiping the sun and moon. Spend the evening strolling through Aalo’s markets and interacting with the friendly locals.

Day 9Aalo to Mechuka

Today’s ride is an exciting one as we travel deeper into the higher altitudes of Arunachal Pradesh. We make a short stop at Kabu village, where you have the option to take a scenic 1.5-hour trek to Paya village, home to the Adi Gallong tribe. Continuing the journey, we ride north toward Mechuka, a stunning valley at 7,000 ft, close to the Indo-China border. Surrounded by snow-capped peaks, Mechuka is a hidden paradise. Upon arrival, check into a homestay run by a Memba tribe family and experience their warm hospitality.

Day 10Mechuka Exploration

Spend the day discovering the breathtaking beauty of Mechuka Valley. Ride to the revered Samten Yongcha Monastery, an ancient Buddhist monastery perched on a hill offering mesmerizing views of the valley. Visit the Gurudwara Mechuka Sahib, which holds historical significance. Explore the sacred Taposthan Cave, where spiritual seekers meditate amidst serene surroundings. A short ride away is Dorjeeling Village, home to the Memba tribe. Return to your homestay and soak in the tranquility of this magical valley.

Day 11Mechuka to komsing

Leaving Mechuka behind, we ride down to Aalo before continuing east toward Komsing. Perched on a hillock, Komsing overlooks the spectacular confluence of the Siyom and Siang Rivers. The ride is scenic, with the mighty Siang River accompanying us along the way. Upon arrival, visit a nearby Adi tribal village, where you can learn about their traditional farming techniques and interact with the locals. End the day with a peaceful riverside retreat.

Day 12Komsing to Roing

After breakfast, embark on a thrilling ride through the lush green riverine landscapes as we head toward Roing. The journey involves crossing the mighty Siang and Dibang Rivers via long suspension bridges, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. The terrain is a mix of winding roads and off-road trails, providing excellent opportunities for adventure riding along the riverbanks. Upon arrival in Roing, visit an Idu Mishmi village, where you can interact with the locals and gain insights into their unique customs, traditions, and animistic beliefs. Spend the evening relaxing by the riverside, soaking in the pristine beauty of the region..

Day 13Roing to Dibrugarh Airport

On the final day of our adventure, we begin our ride back to Assam. Arriving in Dibrugarh, we proceed to the airport, where we bid farewell, marking the end of an unforgettable motorbike expedition through Northeast India.

Important Notes
  • The client must possess a valid motorbike driving licence to drive a motorbike with an engine of 500 cc or above. For UK clients, an A or A2 category Driving Licence is required. The duration for which  you have held the licence is not a criterion.
  • Before they depart from their countries, they are advised to obtain an International Driving licence permit
  • The Client is advised to bring his/her own riding gear like boots, jackets, knee guards, elbow guards, etc(can be rented at  the site with an extra cost except boots).
  • Please get a medical certificate authorised by a doctor if the client has any past medical condition which may affect  riding motorbikes especially in high altitude conditions.
  • Travel insurance recommended.
  • This is an adventure tour; do not expect luxury accommodations or facilities, but rather nice and clean conditions.
  • Most tours are in the Himalayan region, so be prepared for the unexpected as this is a key part of the adventure experience.
Special Terms and Conditions

The sequence of the day-wise itinerary, accommodation, and tour program may change due to traffic schedules/restrictions on some roads or unforeseen events such as landslides, natural calamities, etc.

We reserve the right to change your accommodation in the event of unforeseen circumstances. A similar standard of accommodation will be provided.

Any unprecedented hikes in the cost of transport (including fuel surcharges), accommodation, or related expenses will affect the overall cost. You will be required to pay the additional amount during the tour.

We shall not be responsible for any changes in the itinerary due to landslides, flight cancellations, weather conditions, or other unforeseen events. Any additional costs incurred will be in addition to the package price and will need to be paid during the tour.

Travellers are advised to carry backpacks with a maximum luggage weight of 15-20 kg per person. Extra luggage might incur additional charges.

If the majority of fellow passengers in the group become sick, we will shift you to a vehicle and no marshal will be provided on the motorbike. If you choose to continue the tour on a motorbike, any extra costs will be your responsibility.

In the event of state union issues or clashes, we may need to shift  you to a vehicle instead of a bike. No marshal will be provided on the motorbike.

Any damage to the bike during the tour caused by any rider or a pillion must be paid for on the spot by the client.

If you choose to abort or discontinue the tour or change your route, any extra costs will be your responsibility and must be paid on the spot.

All the riders and Pillion must wear helmets and other gears for the safety during the motorbike ride. Any accidents or damages are the client’s own responsibility, we are not responsible for any damage or losses.

This tour is not for beginners, you must have a few years of riding experience.
