Day 1Arrival in Kathmandu

Welcome to Himalayan country of Nepal. Upon your arrival at the Tribhuvan international airport our representative welcomes you and assists you in transferring to your hotel in Kathmandu.

Overnight stay in Kathmandu.

Day 2Kathmandu Sightseeing

Today after breakfast you will start a guided tour to several of the most historical and spiritual attractions in Kathmandu. All of these landmarks are considered World Heritage Sites; including the, the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupatinath, the famous ‘Monkey Temple’ Swayambhunath and Buddhists shrine of Boudhanath which is one of the largest Stupas in the world and Mediaeval city Patan.

Day 3Bhaktapur Durbar square sightseeing, Visa and Trip Preparation

Today, you’ll step back in time with a visit to Bhaktapur, known for its well-preserved traditional architecture, rich Newari culture, and ornate wood carvings. Roam the historical Durbar Square, admire the 55-Window Palace, and take in the iconic Nyatapola Temple. 

After exploring Bhaktapur, the afternoon will be spent preparing for your Tibet journey, including the visa process. There’s time to relax, check equipment, and finalise any remaining details for your journey. Normally it will take two and half days for an Urgent Tibet visa. Top urgent visa we can take within one day but it will be little expensive.

Overnight Stay: Kathmandu.

Day 4Kathmandu to Syabrubesi

After breakfast, gear up and hop on your motorbike as we head toward Syabrubesi. This thrilling ride will take you through 40 km on the Prithibi Highway before diverging toward the Kerung border. The route passes through charming villages, stunning landscapes, and the Langtang National Park, rich with flora and fauna. The road is rugged and scenic, making for an adventurous ride to your destination for the night, Syabrubesi.

Distance: Approximately 125 km.

Travel Time: 7-8 hours.

Overnight Stay: Syabrubesi.

Day 5Ride from Syabrubesi to Kerung

Today’s journey is shorter but equally exciting. After breakfast, it’s a quick 18 km ride to the Nepal-Tibet border. Following the necessary border formalities, you’ll cross into Tibet, continuing another 24 km to Kerung. Take the rest of the day to explore this border town, enjoy some local flavours, and adjust to the altitude. This downtime will help with acclimatisation as you prepare for the increasing elevations of the coming days.

Travel Time: 4-5 hours.

Day 6Kerung to Tingri

Today after breakfast you will ride uphill to the highest plateau of the world with the typical view of the Tibetan landscape offering the sheer feeling of standing on the roof of the world. from where, weather permitting, a breathtaking panorama of beautiful Himalayan ranges including [Mt. Cho Oyu around 8200 m & 26900 ft.] and  [Mt. Shishapangma, also spelled Xixapangma stands at around 8000 m & 26250 ft.] but dwarfed by the Vastness of the Tibetan plateau. From Tingri, one can enjoy the magnificence of [Mount Everest standing at an elevation of 8848 m & 29,029 ft.]

Distance: Approximately 245 km.
Travel Time: 6-7 hours.
Overnight Stay: Tingri.

Day 7Tingri to Rongbuk

Today after breakfast you will ride to Ronbuk through the beautiful Tibetan countryside. You will explore Rongbuk Monastery, the highest monastery in the world and enjoy the close beautiful views of Everest. Before 4 km of Rongbuk the Chinese government did not allow any vehicles so to reach Rongbuk will go by electric bus which are available every 30 minutes. Also, now without climbing permits other visitors are not allowed to the Everest Base Camp. But you will reach 1.5 km before base camp where the views are similar and gigantic.

After enjoying your day at Everest base Camp, you will head to Xegar for Overnight stay. If you want to stay at Rongbuk for your experience then it is also possible. only the next day you have to drive 90 km more to reach Shigatse [Xigatse or Shigatse is the second-largest city in the Tibet Autonomous Region of China.

Distance: Approximately 18 km.
Overnight Stay: Zhangmu or Xegar

Day 8Xegar to Xigatse/Shigatse

This day’s journey is a highlight of the trip, as you cross some of Tibet’s highest mountain passes, each offering incredible views that seem to touch the sky. After breakfast, you’ll set off on a beautiful ride through snow-dusted landscapes and rolling terrain that gives a true sense of the Tibetan plateau’s vastness.

Along the way, you’ll encounter Gyatso La Pass (over 5,200 m), often blanketed in snow and surrounded by panoramic Himalayan views. The landscapes here are breathtaking and capture the essence of Tibet’s rugged beauty. Upon reaching Shigatse, you’ll check into your hotel and have the evening to explore this vibrant city, known for its rich history and Tibetan culture.

Tashilhunpo Monastery: The residence of the Panchen Lama, this vast monastery complex is a spiritual and architectural wonder. Wander through ancient prayer halls, see massive statues of the Buddha, and soak in the serene atmosphere. Established in 1447, this is one of Tibet’s oldest and most significant monasteries, brimming with artifacts, ancient scriptures, and stunning murals.

Spend the evening strolling through Shigatse’s local markets or sampling traditional Tibetan cuisine in the town’s eateries.

Day 9Xigatse or Shigatse to Gyantse

This is a shorter ride but filled with historical and cultural gems. You’ll start the morning with a visit to the Panchen Lama’s Tashilhunpo Monastery (if you missed it the previous day) and then head to Gyantse. The scenic ride between Shigatse and Gyantse provides stunning views of the fertile plains and rivers that contrast beautifully with Tibet’s stark, mountainous backdrop.

Upon arriving in Gyantse, explore two major landmarks:

Kumbum Stupa: This towering stupa is unique in its architectural design, with 108 small chapels on nine levels, each filled with murals and statues. It’s one of Tibet’s most captivating structures, allowing you to wander and reflect on the spiritual significance of each shrine.

Phalkor Monastery: Nestled beside the Kumbum, this monastery is home to hundreds of ancient murals and beautiful sculptures. Take your time to appreciate the artistry and spirituality embodied here, and feel free to interact with monks as they go about their daily routines.

Wrap up the day exploring Gyantse’s old town, with its narrow alleyways and traditional Tibetan homes that offer a glimpse into everyday Tibetan life.

Day 10Gyantse to Lhasa

Today’s journey from Gyantse to Lhasa is a feast for the senses. You’ll cross two high mountain passes, Karo La Pass (5,010 m) and Kamba La Pass (4,750 m), which offer magnificent views over Tibet’s rugged terrain.

On this ride, you’ll also encounter the turquoise beauty of Yamdrok-Tso Lake, one of Tibet’s sacred lakes, believed to be the lifeline of the Tibetan people. The lake, with its mesmerising blue waters, is ringed by snow-covered mountains, creating a truly magical scene. Another highlight is crossing the Brahmaputra River (or Yarlung Tsangpo), which meanders gracefully through the Tibetan landscape.

As you ride into Lhasa, Tibet’s ancient heart and spiritual centre, the sight of the Potala Palace looming over the city is a powerful introduction to this historic place.

Day 11Guided City Tours in Lhasa

Today, immerse yourself in Lhasa’s deep-rooted spirituality and ancient history. After breakfast, you’ll be guided through some of Tibet’s most revered religious and cultural sites.

Sera Monastery: Famous for its “monk debates,” where monks gather to discuss philosophical and spiritual questions, often with lively gestures and claps to emphasise their points. These debates are held in the monastery’s garden, creating a vibrant and interactive scene that offers insight into Tibetan Buddhism’s rich intellectual tradition.

Norbulingka Palace: Known as the Dalai Lama’s former summer residence, Norbulingka is an oasis of greenery and tranquil gardens. You’ll have the chance to walk through its beautifully decorated rooms, showcasing Tibetan art, murals, and antique furnishings, offering a glimpse into the Dalai Lama’s life and Tibetan heritage.

Jokhang Temple: Considered the most sacred temple in Tibet, this UNESCO site is alive with pilgrims who come from far and wide to worship. The energy here is both peaceful and profound. The temple holds the revered statue of Jowo Rinpoche, one of the most important Buddhist relics in Tibet. Wandering through the Barkhor Market that encircles the temple is a perfect way to conclude the day; it’s an open-air bazaar filled with local handicrafts, traditional clothing, and unique souvenirs.

Day 12Guided City tour around Potala Palace and Drepung Monastery

Potala Palace: Today’s main highlight is the Potala Palace, a structure that’s an icon of Tibetan Buddhism and a marvel of architectural genius. Sitting majestically on Marpo Ri Hill, this former residence of the Dalai Lama houses a complex of chapels, tombs, and statues, each telling its part of Tibetan history. Climbing the palace’s many steps rewards you with sweeping views over Lhasa and the surrounding mountains, giving you a moment to reflect on Tibet’s fascinating history and culture.

Drepung Monastery: In the afternoon, you’ll visit Drepung Monastery, once Tibet’s largest monastery. With its impressive assembly halls, libraries, and meditation chambers, it’s a place that exudes tranquillity. Here, you’ll see monks chanting in meditation, creating an atmosphere that invites peace and reflection. Drepung is an ideal setting to end the day, as it embodies the spiritual devotion that makes Lhasa so unique.

Day 13Lhasa to Shigatse

Today after breakfast, we will take the same route that we took in order to reach Lhasa, however we will skip the place called Gyangtse. We will be spending the night at Shigatse. Feel free to stop at the place that catches your interest, take pictures and enjoy the breathtaking landscapes.

Day 14Shigatse to Tingri

Today we will board a 6-7 hour motorcycle ride towards Tingri. Riding on the same tarmac that led us to Lhasa. Don’t forget to enjoy the view and obviously feel free to stop at a place catching your attention. Take breaks, stretch your body and ride again.

Distance: Approximately 290 km 

Travel Time: 7-8 hours.

Overnight stay: Tingri

Day 15Tingri to Kerung

Today we say goodbye to the Tibetan Plateau and reach Nepal. Experience the dramatic change in landscape. Upon reaching the border, we complete all the formalities and officially re-enter Nepal. Don’t forget the driving lane changes at the border side, from today you will be riding on the left side whereas yesterday you were riding your bike on the right hand side.

Overnight stay: Kerung

Day 16Kerung to Kathmandu

Today we will ride back to Kathmandu, the same 175 km on both good black topped and off road terrain of Nepal. Upon reaching Kathmandu you can sit by the bar and enjoy some drinks while reflecting on the trip and discussing the events that you lived and will treasure forever.

Distance: 170.

Travel Time: 8 hours .

Overnight stay: Kathmandu

Day 17Final Departure from Kathmandu

After breakfast, our Representative will transfer you to the Airport for your Final Departure

Important Notes
  • The Tibet visa with an entry permit of Motorbike is the main document on this tour. We need a passport scan copy and your international motorbike licence to obtain a Tibet travel permit with your Motorbike. We also need your original passport and MRP size of the picture at Kathmandu Nepal for final visa approval. Find below other ideas about documentation.
  • Valid passport copy by email. It should be at least 6 months valid.
  • International driving licence (In the same of Indian and Nepali normal licence works).
  • Bike blue book pages, first till 5th pages (If you hire a bike from us we handle this work).
  • Bike details, we will provide you with a format (If you hire a bike from us we handle this work).
  • Photograph of Bikes (clear photo of bike front and back can see the number plate and bike body) – If you hire a bike from us we handle this work.
  • Your picture for the visa (Digital picture, white background, MRP size) was sent by email and brought the same picture.
  • Original passport once you arrive in Kathmandu (before 3 full working days).
  • Custom deposit payment clip or any other documents provided by Nepali custom at the time of you entering Nepal from India through any border. This case is only for Indians who come with their bike in Nepal.
Special Terms and Conditions

The sequence of the day-wise itinerary, accommodation, and tour program may change due to traffic schedules/restrictions on some roads or unforeseen events such as landslides, natural calamities, etc.

We reserve the right to change your accommodation in the event of unforeseen circumstances. A similar standard of accommodation will be provided.

Any unprecedented hikes in the cost of transport (including fuel surcharges), accommodation, or related expenses will affect the overall cost. You will be required to pay the additional amount during the tour.

We shall not be responsible for any changes in the itinerary due to landslides, flight cancellations, weather conditions, or other unforeseen events. Any additional costs incurred will be in addition to the package price and will need to be paid during the tour.

Only backpacks are allowed, with a maximum luggage weight of 15-20 kg per person. Extra luggage will incur additional charges.

If the majority of fellow passengers in the group become sick, we will shift you to a vehicle and no marshal will be provided on the motorbike. If you choose to continue the tour on a motorbike, any extra costs will be your responsibility.

In the event of state union issues or clashes, we may need to shift  you to a vehicle instead of a bike. No marshal will be provided on the motorbike.

Any damage to the bike during the tour caused by any rider or a pillion must be paid for on the spot by the client.

If you choose to abort or discontinue the tour or change your route, any extra costs will be your responsibility and must be paid on the spot.

All the riders and Pillion must wear helmets and other gears for the safety during the motorbike ride. Any accidents or damages are the client’s own responsibility, we are not responsible for any damage or losses.

This tour is not for beginners, you must have a few years of riding experience.
